What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Haven't done this in a while, so I thought it would be fun to share what I'm loving lately:

{1} My sweet Mama came to visit for Easter! Since we are moving soon, she wanted to come up and explore the city one last time before we head up to Albany. The weekend was quickly dubbed "Murphy's Law Weekend," because everything that could go wrong, did! She somehow got an awful stomach bug, and was sick as a dog for pretty much the whole weekend...so we stayed in my apartment the whole time! I booked her ticket about a month ago, and we could have sworn that her flight left LaGuardia at 6pm on Easter, so we packed up all of her stuff and headed to the airport, only to realize her flight was MONDAY at 6pm. I don't know what in the world happened, I must have lost my mind the day I booked her ticket. Anyway, I was glad to have more time with her, so we headed to the grocery store to get the fixin's for a nice Easter dinner, and when we got there, it was CLOSED! After riding all over town looking for an open grocery store, we finally found Whole Foods and got things for a ridiculously expensive meal. Finally back at home, we were putting the mac and cheese in the over, and I heard Mom screaming in the kitchen. Poor thing had broken the door off of our ancient oven, and had to hold it closed the rest of the time to let the ham and mac&cheese cook. It's a good thing we can make the most out of anything! :)

{2} FINALLY...a Lulie Wallace of my very own. Sure, it may just be a print, but if you refer to the post before this, us girls on a budget have to have pretty art somehow! I'm dying for a custom LW original of my wedding bouquet, but this pretty print will do for now. Right now it's proudly displayed on my mantel, and it makes me so incredibly happy! (Also loving this cheapo frame from Michael's thanks to Bryn's advice!)

{3} Charlie doesn't usually ever get people food, but I was chopping lettuce for a salad the other day and was curious if he would eat some, so I handed him a piece of Romaine and you would have thought I just gave him the best damn food in the entire universe. He is now obsessed with lettuce and carrots... so those are his treats when he's being sweet. SO funny.

{4} New luggage from my parents for my birthday! I've been using the same pink monogrammed Vera Bradley bags that I've had since 9th grade (over 10 years!) and it held up well until about a month ago when it couldn't take my overpacking anymore and the zippers busted off. I have nice rolling suitcases, but I needed some pretty bags for quick trips. My sweet mama ordered me the pretty Vera Bradley carry on, and a {much more grown up looking than my old stuff} huge monogrammed black duffel. Now I just need a vacation so I can use them...

{5} Some of my VERY best friends from SC came to visit for my birthday and it was seriously one of the best weekends ever!! Will be doing a whole post about the weekend, but I love this picture, so I had to share!

{6} I made a quick trip up to Albany to take some pictures of our new loft, and snapped this picture of the gorgeous Capitol building on my way out of town. Doesn't it look like a castle?? Love that we can see a little sliver of this pretty building from our new place!

{7} Seriously loving my hunky {almost lawyer} husband. He graduates in 1 month and 4 days {not that I'm counting or anything} and we are so stinking excited! Law School has been awful and wonderful all at the same time, so it's bittersweet that he is almost done, but I sure will be happy to actually get to spend time with him again!!!
