I found a realy fun website called ColorCombos and decided to make a wedding color combo of my very own! It's hard to see everything together in my head and even harder to try and explain to people; so here it is!
We will be using champagne/almond and ivory as the bases of almost everything, will use chartreuse in some of the linens and other decorative things, and will have a tiny bit of my favorite color pink in some flowers. Can't wait to see how it all pans out on the big day!

Trolley!
Our reception venue, The Duncan Estate, won't be able to hold all of our guests' cars and since our bridal party is so large, we decided to rent a trolley. I love the old nostalgia feel of a trolley and think it is a lot more fun than a limo or a bus! We are using Main Street Trolley in Spartanburg and I am so excited about it!
Most of our guests will be staying at the Marriott in downtown Spartanburg, so the trolley will be running back and forth from there to the Duncan Estate throughout the night and will also transport the wedding party to and from the reception. I am hoping we can take a lot of fun pictures with us and the trolley!

Where did Summer go???
Wow! Is summer really almost over?!? It sure did fly by! I have been working way too much but have gotten a lot of wedding stuff done! I can't believe it is finally less than a year away; a little over 9 months to go! :)
One of the major decisions we made this summer was the bridesmaid dress! The bridesmaid dress from before just wasn't cutting it, so we decided to do something totally different! I have had my eye on the LulaKate boutique on King Street in Charleston for a while now. I made a visit there over the July 4th week with my mom and two bridesmaids, Elizabeth and King. It was such a wonderful experience; they treated us like queens! The store is absolutely precious and we had so much fun looking through all of the dresses. The girls tried on what seemed like a million dresses, but none of us could decide which one we liked the best.
I have seen a few weddings that have used different bridesmaids dresses in the same color and thought that was so neat. I know all brides say this, but I really want my girls to be able to wear their dresses again after the wedding. They are all going to choose their own knee length style of dress in the color of Almond (which is a gold/champagne color.) They all have different body shapes and I know they will feel much more beautiful if they can pick a dress themselves; I know I would! Elizabeth and King both picked very different dresses and they look absolutely incredible on them. I can't wait to see what the other girls pick!
If you have never been to LulaKate in Charleston; you MUST! The LulaKate line is also featured in all Bella Bridesmaid boutiques all over the country. Here are a few pictures showing real LulaKate weddings from their website. Enjoy!
